How To Turn Your Morning Coffee Into A High-Protein Powerhouse

Kseniya Ovchinnikova/Getty Images Whether it’s regarding the flavor profile, like boosting the flavor of espresso, or adding some extra nutritional value, it’s common for the everyday coffee drinker to make the most out of their cup of joe. Indeed, there’s a way to do both by mixing in collagen, beef gelatin, and protein powder into that next morning cup. Each has its benefits, and while protein may be a major player here, it’s not the only reason to consider these additions. Protein powder would be a way to pack some muscle fuel … Read more

Why You Should Skip The Pita Chips When Ordering Olive Garden’s Spinach-Artichoke Dip

Sham Clicks/Shutterstock We don’t want to pigeonhole anyone, but sometimes we forget that Olive Garden is good for more than just bottomless breadsticks and pasta. Yeah, unlimited hot breadsticks are amongst the dishes you could order over and over again, but Olive Garden’s appetizer menu has a couple of things to write home about, too. We did our very own taste-testing and ranked every Olive Garden appetizer, and while the breadsticks certainly earned a spot near the top, we were surprised at all the other tasty items on offer, including the spinach … Read more

Hey! – Leels Cooks

Hi there, I’m Leels, a hardcore gamer and passionate cook.  I cooked professionally for a good 6 years of my life out in Vancouver BC, making a variety of foods, developing and testing recipes for a small catering company/cafe. That life wasn’t working out for me, and I ended up moving across Canada and have been in Montreal for the past few years. I no longer cook for a living, but it’s still an incredibly important part of my life. I make meals daily for my loved ones, still try to come up with new and exciting recipes, and review … Read more

How To Spatchcock A Turkey Like Ree Drummond

Brent Hofacker/Shutterstock The centerpiece of the holiday table presents quite a conundrum. You can craft perfect plates of mashed potatoes, vegetables, and pies — and still end up with a subpar turkey. Holiday-hosting novices and experienced home cooks alike have unintentionally produced turkeys that are overdone or underdone, bland or soggy or any terrible texture and taste in between. They get these unpleasant results, that is, until spatchcocking comes to the rescue. Also called butterflying, the method requires removing the backbone of the turkey so that it can lie flatter as it … Read more

Want A Creamier McDonald’s Smoothie? This Sweet Hack Does The Trick

McDonald’s got its start selling burgers, but through the years, it’s brought other treats to the menu, including its popular smoothies. The chain offers a number of smoothie-style items, from the fruit-based strawberry banana smoothie to the soda-based Frozen Coca-Cola Classic. But if you’re looking for a way to turn that icy texture into an even creamier treat, try combining your smoothie with a small McDonald’s ice cream cone. Of course, step one is to make sure the McDonald’s ice cream machine works, but an October 2024 ruling to fix broken machines might have made out-of-order … Read more

Does Dunkin’ Offer A Senior Discount?

Tim Boyle/Getty Images We know Dunkin’ caters to the Gen Z and millennial crowd, with trendy collabs like shaking up the menu with Sabrina Carpenter’s espresso or capitalizing on the “short king” trend in 2024. But what about perks and considerations for the older crowd? While much about the chain is homogenous and predictable no matter which location you find yourself in (though some swear the donuts taste different from store to store), discounts do vary. Currently, there’s no clear cut or chain-wide corporate policy on senior discounts at Dunkin’.  Since there’s nothing to … Read more
